Kim and Kanye as you've never seen them before

Dennis Owusu-Ansah is a New York-based Ghanaian artist whose pop art images are taking Instagram by storm. The artist told CNN "the piece I'm most proud of is the "Kanye West and Kim Kardashian" painting, because it was very challenging. I lost hope and almost gave up on that piece because it wasn't coming out as I expected. I worked on this painting for four days straight."

His work doesn't seem to be slowing down and alongside these celebrities re-imagined, Owusu-Ansah has created a clothing range. Here he has named Rihanna Robyn Rihanna Amahle Fenty.
Portraits usually take the artist a day or two depending on the details. Here he has created Mazi Odinnaka Rosey, formerly known as Rick Ross.
Making Africa accessible through contemporary pop art, Owusu-Ansah has created and given P Diddy an African name: Sean Puffy Nana Antwi Combs.
Combining bright colors with intricate patterns, Owusu-Ansah has created Nicki Minaj, aka, Nicki Maame Akua Amponsah.
After witnessing his friend being teased for wearing a kente cloth, Owusu-Ansah wanted to do something to change the perspective of people not familiar with African culture. Here is Meagan "Omotola" Good.
With over 12,000 Instagram followers, Owusu-Ansah has a successful Instagram page where he has created Jay Z and called him Chief Shawn "Ugonna" Jay Z Carter.
By illustrating artists in African clothing, Owusu-Ansah hopes that it will bring awareness to African culture. Here he captures Drake, or in this case, Aubrey Drake Abdul-Salam Graham.
Owusu-Ansah has renamed Chris Brown Chris Kofi Sarpong Brown. He is highlighting the beauty of Africa through his current pop art of famous personalities.
He has not only put artists in authentic African clothes but given them African names. Beyonce has been named Beyonce Lankenua Carter.
